Former EFCC Boss, Lamorde, Elevated to DIG as Police New Management Team Emerges

The former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),  Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, has been elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) among four others.

Other senior police officers elevated with him, include: DIG Usman Baba,  will now head the Force Criminal Intelligence Department (FCID),  DIG, Ibrahim Lamorde, Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), DIG David Folawiyo, Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), DIG Joseph Egbunike, Department of Finance and Administration, DIG Dan-Mallam Mohammed, Department of Training and Development.

In the same vein, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG),  Moses Jitoboh, was redeployed from the Border Patrol Section to Acting DIG in-charge of the Department of Research and Planning.

The redeployment, Extraordinaire crew leant is coming courtesy of the recent promotion of senior police officers by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

Mr. Frank Mba, the Force PRO, who was also recently promoted from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) to Commissioner of Police (CP), in a statement, said, consequently, the IG has ordered the posting/redeployment of 5 newly promoted DIGs.

The IG, while congratulating the officers, who by this promotion and posting, are now members of the Force Management Team, charges them to bring their vast experience and professionalism to bear in their leadership of the Departments to enhance the ongoing reforms and repositioning of the Force.

The postings/redeployments, the statement added, are with immediate effect.
