The Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Prof. Mohammed Haruna, has solicited the support of the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) for Nigeria’s industrial automative park project, which is being established in Kaduna.

The NASENI boss, stated this on his working visit to the Nigerian Ambassador to the UK, Amb. Sarafat Tunji Isola at the Nigerian High Commission office in London.

The EVC informed the Ambassador on the efforts of NASENI in exploring areas of possible collaboration with the British professionals and organised owners of Automotive Parts Industries in the UK towards the Kaduna Automotive Industrial Park, a new NASENI innovation.

Haruna acknowledged that as the Federal Government is promoting local production of vehicles, key to that is also to creat the necessary environment, adding…that the agency is on the course with the automotive policy.

“We are working on making it easier and more advantageous to produce vehicles locally because we believe the difference must be created between vehicles built elsewhere and those built in Nigeria.

“NASENI is building an automotive industrial park that will have comprehensive facilities where the necessary infrastructure will be provided for investors’ participation. Haruna stated.

In his remark, Isola, lauded NASENI’s effort for technological advancement in Nigeria and assured his commitment and support to complement the agenda of the present administration.

“We wish our quintessential leader a successful trip as he continues to keep the nation’s hope alive with his efforts to transform research and development in Nigeria.” He added.
