OAGF: Excitement as Enugu, Jos Get New Office Buildings

It was excitement galore and push for optimum service delivery as the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) recently commissioned it’s newly constructed Federal Pay Offices (FPOs) in Enugu, Enugu State and Jos, Plateau State.

The Acting Accountant General of the Federation (Ag. AGF), Mr. Sylva Okolieaboh, at the commissioning of the Offices, stated that the newly constructed Pay Offices were part of the reforms in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to give infrastructural face lift to the Federal Pay Offices across the country 

The OAGF boss, who was represented by the Director, Treasury of the Federation, Mr. Uzor Maduabuchi and Director, Legal Services, Mr. Haruna Isa Alabi, in Enugu and Jos stated that the new offices were built to provide conducive atmosphere for the officers of the OAGF.

According to him, the task of managing the public treasury has become more complex, and sophisticated over the years.

Okolieaboh, therefore enjoined all the staff of FPOs in Enugu, Jos and other parts of the country to perform their duties with a heightened sense of responsibility in order to deliver quality service.

Earlier, the Federal Pay Officer, Enugu, Mr. John Ugwu in his welcome address expressed delight that the staff will now discharge their duties and responsibilities from a befitting and conducive permanent office.

He expressed delight that the FPO Enugu was the first among the FPOs which was completed within one year.

Also, in her remark, the Federal Pay Officer, Jos, Mrs Halima Shaladas, stated that the new office complex would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff of Federal Pay Office, Jos.
