Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor of Edo state, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, has verbally attacked President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor of CBN, Mr. Godwin Emiefele over the implementation of the New Naira Notes Policy.
The former labour leader urged the people of Edo State to preserve their old naira notes until the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration.
Speaking to some of his supporters in Auchi, Edo North, the former Chairman of APC condemned the new monetary policy of the Federal Government spear headed by the President which is being implemented by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Mr. Godwin Emiefele.
The disclosure came to the fore in a radio news station Kukuruku FM monitored in Abuja which was also published in it’s online platform.
Oshiomhole, while criticising the policy said Buhari, has no option but to obey the Supreme Court’s order on the implementation and deadline for swapping of old notes for new ones.
Oshiomhole, who expressed worry in Pidgin English, averred that Buhari’s administration did not implement such a policy on the eve of his re-election bid.
He said: “All this wahala, wey Buhari put for currency change, my hand no dey inside.
“Our party don tell Buhari, wait if you want change currency, you should not change ham during election.
“Wetin you no change during your time, you wan make ham spoil another pesin time, e no good.”
