Aregbesola to Newly Decorated NCoS, NIS DCGs: Live Above Board

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Wednesday charged the newly promoted officers in both Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to live above board in the discharge of theirs responsibilities.

The Minister gave the charge in his office while decorating six NCoS officers with their new rank of Deputy Controller General and two NIS Officers with Deputy Controller General.

He emphasized the need for them to  live above board through conscious display of professionalism, integrity, dedication and hard work for the betterment of the country.

The Minister reiterated that the reforms being embarked on in the Ministry are meant to achieve the mandate given to them by the President and positively impact the Nigerian citizens.

Aregbesola told the officers “I have no doubt that you will step up your groove and deliver resounding successes in this regard”

He reminded them that their new appointments are coming at a transitional period when great reforms are taking place in both the  NIS and NCoS.

Aregbesola admonished them to work with the consciousness of a servant serving the citizens of Nigeria 

The Minister however gave special charges to the NIS to stamp out all ferms of corrupt practices in passport administration and make the obtainment of passport by Nigerias a seamless exercise.

At the same occasion, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore,  lauded the leadership qualities of the Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his untiring energy and passion for chatting a new path for delivering on the mandate of the ministry.

Dignitaries in attendance during the decoration includes Commissioners of the Board, Directors in the Ministry and family and friends of the decorated officers.
