In Valedictory Symphony, Mamora Hands over to Perm Sec, Tasks DGs, Directors on R/D, Economic Diversification

Dr. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, the Minister who just stepped down out of office few as at according to tradition has formally handed over the affairs of the Ministry to the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Monilola Udoh on Friday 26, two days to the inauguration of the new President, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

This valedictory symphony held during the commissioning of the World Class Technology and Innovation Complex built by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) and driven by the DG/CEO, Prof. Hussaini Doko Ibrahim and his hard-working staff.

The world class technology Complex which is situated in NASRDA premises along Airport Road, Abuja, industry watchers say will be Nigeria’s linkage and nexus to the long-awaited commercialization of Nigeria’s local raw materials as developed by the Council for industrialists, investors, OPS and entrepreneurs.

Mamora, commended President Buhari for given him the opportunity and support to serve Nigeria and humanity in capacity as Minister. In the same vein, he thanked the Minister of State, Chief Henry Ikoh, the Perm Sec Directors, Director-Generals/Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the agencies and staff of the ministry for their unflinching support to him and his colleague during their tenure. 

He enjoined the staff to continue to be committed to Research and Development (R/D) projects so as to ensure the achievement of government’s quest for diversification of the economy through Science, Technology and Innovation (STI).

He reiterated that no nation can achieve any meaningful development, growth and self -sufficiency without commitment and proper application of STI.

To this end, he said “I hereby, formally hand over the document of my stewardship as the Minister in the ministry in the last 11 months to the Permanent Secretary.

 I am grateful to you and the Management of the FMSTI for unalloyed support to me and my colleague, the Minister of State, Chief Henry Ikoh”.

 Udoh, commended the Minister and the Minister of State for their giant studies during their tenure and wished them success in their future endeavors.
