Kano Agog as Defence Minister’s son Weds Heartthrob

The ancient city of Kano was agog with activities on Friday, when dignitaries from all works of life joined Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, to celebrate the wedding of his son.

The Minister’s son, Ahmad Badaru Abubakar tied the nuptial knot with his beautiful bride, Zainab Nasidi Abubakar in a grand style at Isyaka Rabi’u Juma’at mosque in kano State.

The wedding Fatihah was contracted by the Chief Imam of the Mosque, Mallam Abdullahi Salga after the pronouncement of the payment of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500, 00:00) dowry.

The wedding Fatihah was witnessed by hundreds of well wishes, among whom were the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, the Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, the Permanent Secretary of Defence, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana and other political associates.

The excited Minister said that it was a thing of joy and great honour to witness the wedding, saying that it is the wish of every father to witness such occasion.

He therefore charged them to live happily as husband and wife.

On his on part, the Minister of State for Defence, while admonishing the newly wedded couple, charged them to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, patience and love in their marriage last.
