The Nigerian Renaissance, the Presidential Mandate Salvagers and the Octopus Groups have condemned the outburst in some quarters the appointment of Chief Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja (FCT).
Speaking on behalf of the umbrella group, in a statement made available to the media in Abuja, Dr. Manzo Abubakar, a renowned Political Scientist, said the attention of the group was drawn to the wholly unscientific and schizophrenic outbursts from certain splittist and unpatriotic groups in respect of Wike’s appointment.
He said: “We condemn in the strongest, most violent but appropriate language the well-oiled but belated attempts to blackguard and demonise of Wike.
He said the unwarranted attack is unfortunately coming inspite of the Minister’s towering credentials and verily distinguished public service career as the ultimate seal in the satanic apostolate of those who intend to manipulate Nigerian public opinion through ethnic and religious manipulation in order to tilt the balance of forces in their favor.
Abubakar, said: “The portents are dangerous and the hirelings and compositely unpatriotic elements who have been constructing and designing infrastructures for mind poisoning and negative mobilisation against a genuinely motivated and comprehensive statesman and compatriot must bear the entire onus of responsibility for their untoward and reprehensible acts before posterity.
“And the forces for progress and stability in the polity and global collective social conscience.
“And what about Barr. Nyesom Wike? Apart from his tried, tested, proven credible capacity and capability to deliver democracy dividends to the inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Accoding to him, the Minister has fired the imagination of all Nigerians since he assumed office to the possibility of a new leadership rennaissance not only in Nigeria, Africa, and the Black diaspora but globally in consonance with the renewed hope agenda of the visionary Godsent administration of President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Administration.
By insisting that there should no longer be abandoned projects in the FCT, by putting all contractors and land speculators on notice that it’s no longer business as usual , the Minister, Abubakar, said has set the high moral tone of his office by situating the work audit system.
This, he said is coming within the context of enduring that conventional books of accounts, internal budget and budgetry control mechanisms etc specific to contracts are in tandem with financial rules and regulations cum best governance and administrative practices at this opportune and critical moment in our tortous anguishing march toward democratic civility.
“Let’s talk about the geopolitics of the middle belt and the southern minorities who taken together have the numerical preponderance.
“Wike for our information hails from the Southern minorities and the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja (FCT) is the geopolitical Middle Belt which is center of gravity of the Northern Minorities and in a sense, Nyesom is amongst his Northern kinsmen who are the second component of the Nigerian minorities’ bifurcation and he has been doing a fantastic job.
“By all empirical variables, Nyesom Wike is poised to become the best performing Minister of the FCT since it was summoned into existence by the 1976 enabling Act.” The group said.
