Breaking…ONU, FORMER SCIENCE TECH MINISTER IS DEAD

The immediate past Minister of Science Technology and Innovation (STI) now re-christened, Innovation, Science Technology Ministry, from 2015 to 2022, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, is dead.

News filtered into EXTRAORDINAIREPEOPLE.COM, newsroom, early today that he was on admission on hospices facility in Abuja, for almost 21 days before he passed on early today Thursday 11, April 2024.

Onu, a Chemical Engineer, who lectured at the University of Port Harcourt for several years later joined politics in the 1980s where he went on to become the first Governor of Abia State.

 Attempt to probe the cause of his death through his erstwhile SA on Media, Mr. Sunny Onyeakwu proved abortive as his phone rangout without reversal.

It is fair to say that the Minister, a renowned Scientist brought panache to the Science and Technology community carving a niche for deepening knowledge economy to drive Nigeria’s development.
