ADUDA URGES CIVIL SERVANTS TO BE VALUE DRIVEN, SAYS STAFF CRUCIAL TO ACTUALISATION OF FG’s RENEWED HOPE AGENDA

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Amb. Gabriel Aduda, has called on civil servants to remain diligent, value-oriented, citizen-centered, and God-fearing in the execution of their official duties. 

Aduda, made this statement today in his Abuja office during a courtesy visit by the Union executives and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by their chairman, Ali Seidu.

The visit was in appreciation of Ambassador Aduda’s impactful role during his tenure as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from December 2020 to October 2022.

In his remarks, the Perm Sec. emphasized the pivotal role of the civil service as the engine of government, highlighting its responsibility in ensuring effective service delivery to Nigerians.

In a statement, Mrs. Grace Njoku, Head, Information and Public Relations in the Ministry, quoted the Perm Sec, as noting that the civil service is crucial in actualizing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola  Tinubu-led Administration.

He urged civil servants to always give their best in their service to humanity, stating, “Always put in your best at every opportunity you are given to serve. You may never have a second chance to make a first impression, so always put your best foot forward. Work as unto God and never relent in supporting your subordinates and superiors.”

Aduda reaffirmed the government’s commitment to capacity development for workers, aiming to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service delivery in the public sector in line with global standards.

Earlier, Comrade Ali Seidu expressed their gratitude to Aduda for his contributions to staff career progression and capacity building during his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He specifically acknowledged Aduda’s efforts in facilitating the conversion of staff from the Executive Cadre to Officer Cadre.

Seidu, assured that the knowledge and opportunities gained from these initiatives would be utilized to achieve the goals and objectives of the Foreign Service and the federal government.

In appreciation, Seidu and his colleagues presented Aduda with a customized, handcrafted thank-you card.

Aduda, is OPEC Governor for Nigeria, a distinguished administrator, with extensive experience across multiple sectors. His notable career includes service as Permanent Secretary Political and Economic Affairs in the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation and several key ministries, including Petroleum Resources, Foreign Affairs,

Political and Economic Affairs, Youth and Sports. His illustrious service record also includes tenure as chairman of the National Authority on Chemical & Biological Weapons Convention

(NAC&BWC) where he represented Nigeria at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Highlighting his pivotal role on the international stage. Aduda’s career is further marked by critical leadership positions, including Director of Civil Service Transformation at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Director of Economic Research and Policy Management at the Federal Ministry of Finance, and Head of Strategy and Reorientation at the Economic and Financial Crimes. Commission (EFCC).

He had earlier served as Executive Member Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offenses Commission.
