Eid-El-Kabir: ACHUBA GREETS MUSLIM FAITHFULS, SUES FOR PEACE, UNITY

KOGI state former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has congratulated Muslim faithfuls across the country on this year’s celebration of Eid-El-Kabir, calling for special prayers for peaceful coexistence and unity of the country.

He also urges Muslim faithfuls to pray for God’s intervention in the present situation, while advising Nigerians to remain as one despite the difficulties currently faced in the country. 

The former Deputy Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, charged Muslim Faithfuls to embrace the profound lessons of sacrifice, love, and compassion that the festival embodies.

He said the Eid-El-Kabir celebration emphasises total sacrifice and commitment to the service of God, enjoining celebrants to do the will of God (Allah) as they mark important day of their religious lives.

Stating that the celebration is a time of reflection and gratitude to Almighty God, the former Deputy Governor called on Muslim faithfuls to remember the less privileged as they celebrate the.holy day. 

According to him, the celebration provided an opportunity to reach out to many Nigerians that are today battling with a lot of challenges and hardship, slammed on them with the removal of fuel subsidy. 

Achuba, however enjoined Nigerians not to be discouraged by the present circumstances, but to join hands in the rebuilding of a Nigeria that the future generations would be proud of.

The former Deputy Governor further called on Kogi Muslim faithfuls to embrace the values of sacrifice, love, tolerance patience and unwavering faith as they celebrate Eid-El-Kabir.

He urged them to use the occasion to pray for a better Kogi State and work towards a more just and harmonious society that would give room for meaningful development. 

Urging the celebrants to extend hands of fellowship and oneness to all Kogites, Elder Achuba advised the youth to desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state. 

He encouraged the community leaders to join hands with the youth and security agencies to tacklle the security challenges in some parts of the state. 

The former Deputy Governor wished all Muslim faithfuls across the state happy Eid-El-Kabir, while praying for a hitch-free celebration.
