INTERNET DELIVERY: NIGCOMSAT, DIMENSION DATA SIGN MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT

In line with the aspirations of the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, to rejig the nation’s economy through digital transformation, the Nigerian Communication Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd, has once again signed a partnership agreement with Dimension Data.

Dimension Data, is a leading IT solutions company, internet solutions service provider. 

In the partnership agreement, NIGCOMSAT Ltd is to provide to Dimension Data, with internet Service on NigComSat-1R network platform for a period of one year in the first instance on Ku dedicated band.

The partnership which was sealed by the two Chief Executive Officers of the two companies in Lagos today, Mrs. Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, representing NIGCOMSAT Ltd and Mr. Olugbenga Olabiyi, the Country Director, representing Dimension Data.

Dimension Data pride itself with a vision of delivering innovative game changing technology and solutions, not only in Nigeria but also the Middle East and Africa, has a wide range of clienteles including the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)   

Commenting shortly after the signing, the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, NIGCOMSAT Ltd, Egerton-Idehen, expressed optimism on the partnership and averred that NIGCOMSAT will provide the most excellent services to its clienteles having upgraded its facility to cutting-edge technology.  

She said NIGCOMSAT is competing well now in the global satellite market with the view to taking its rightful position, ‘though we are in the market now, we are not late and l can assure you that we are there for business.’

The Managing Director further stated that ‘we just finished a pilot scheme with this client and signed a Master Service Agreement. We are glad that the Country Director, Gbenga Olabiyi and his team were happy with the results of our pilot.

We shared all the work we are doing to reposition Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd, ensuring that our service delivery is excellent, our infrastructure reliable and our technology continuous’.  

Also commenting, the Country Manager for Dimension Data, Mr. Olugbenga Olabiyi, noted that he is focused on creating unique and bespoke IT solutions for its customers while delivering services that are value-driven. 

‘Through customer engagement and outstanding technology infrastructure that advanced productivity and business growth’, the Country Director stated.

With this continues drive and focus, the new NIGCOMSAT, is gradually meeting the objectives of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy under the watchful eyes of Tijani who is spearheading series of initiatives to expanding connectivity and promoting digital inclusion in the nation’s economy.
