According to him BPP, was set up for a reason and we are here to comply and partner with them and so we always welcome them and anything that we don’t understand we call on them for clarity and we generally will have a better working relationship.

While also responding to questions at the sideline of the event, the Acting Director General (DG) of BPP, Mr. Olusegun Omotola, who was represented by Mr. Adebowale Adedokun, hinted that the in-house training is about reminding the procurement officers of what they already know and making them to know what they don’t know before now.

Omotola, said BPP is excited that the EVC who just clocked one year has made every conscious efforts toward improving the procurement process of NASENI, adding…that is the main reason why we are here and if somebody is doing well go back there again to him help to do better.

The BPP DG, said: “The reason why we are here is to ensure that we give the EVC and the system more support and also to highlight latest developments in the procurement processes in the country because to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

“We are here to show them best practices to tell them what they are doing right and what they are not doing well so that they can improve and much more give us feedback as we are also expecting them to tell us as a Bureau what we are not doing well so that we can go back again and then re-engineer our processes.

“NASENI, if you don’t know is one of those specialized agencies that has unique responsibilities in terms of delivering customized and home-made technologies and that is why we must give them all the support to ensure that we are able to speedily attend to their needs because it is a core area that the President is interested in, that is why we are here.”
