OKUNS DEVT ASSOCIATION CONGRATULATE NEWLY ELECTED LG EXECUTIVES, PROMISES COLLABORATION

The National Executive of the Okun Development Association (ODA) congratulates the newly elected local government chairmen, vice-chairmen and councilors, describing their individual victories at the polls as rewards for their capacity and commitment.

“We extend our warmest congratulations on your well-deserved victory and inform you of our willingness to offer wise counsel whenever needed.”

“The fact that the elections were widely regarded as free, fair, and credible is a testament to the maturity of our democracy and the commitment of our citizens to the democratic process.”

“Your election reaffirms the people’s confidence in your ability to deliver quality leadership in your respective domains. As public servants, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of governance, probity, and service delivery,” the statement read.

“We urge you to remain committed to the principles of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of your constituents,” ODA advised.

“As you begin your tenure, we remind you that local governments are fundamental to rural growth and development. 

Your commitment to your duties will play a crucial role in providing essential services, implementing development projects, and addressing community-specific issues.

The National Publicity Secretary, of the Association, Mr. Dayo Thomas, in a statement, said the entire Okuns reposed confidence and trusting that you will work tirelessly to promote the values of Okunland and ensure that the voices of the people are heard and reflected in your policies.
