SEGUN ODEGBAMI, IFUEKO OMOIGUI-OKAURU, JERRY GANA, OTHERS TO HERALD BOOK FAIR IN ABUJA

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flomat Books, Mr. Anthony Akpokene, on Sunday said all is set for the 4th Abuja book fair commencing from 28th to 30th November 2024 at Sharon Ultimate Hotel, Abuja.

Under the theme ‘’Reading culture renaissance’’ the book fair offers a diverse range of activities that cater for all age groups, he said.

A statement by Akpokene, restated the organisation’s role in spreading knowledge, facilitating enlightenment and contributing to the progress of society.

‘’The objective of the highly awaited 4th Abuja Book Fair is to stimulate children and reinvigorate the reading culture in Nigeria’’

The statement listed Messrs. Joshua Egube, Segun Odegbami, Ifueko Omogui Okauru, Prof Jerry Gana, John Asein, Dare Oluwatuyi, Olusola Bankole, Macdonald Idu and Pastor Tawus Gaya as special guests. 

‘’The book fair will be remarkable, with books at extraordinary discount, interaction with authors, lectures, special meeting with people whose lives were impacted by books, networking and dinner’’.

The statement underscored lectures addressing a wide of medical topics.

‘’Topics will include health and wellness: The efficacy of herbal medicine and treatment, your eyes and nutrition, negative effects of digital devices and helping the challenged child to overcome and excel’’

‘’There will be reading on November 26 for private schools at Bankys School, Apo District and reading for government schools on November 27 at Government Secondary School, Area 10. 

It added that renowned authors such as Uzoma Uponi (Colour blind), Michael Oviemhada (100 years), Pastor Gaya (Influence an Oasis), Chris Ekpekurede (Laughing over serious issues) and Anote Ajeuluorou (Liberation for Africa) will read excerpts from their work.’’ the statement added.
