The Stanley Jegede Foundation (SJF), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a mission to make a good quality of life accessible to Africa’s less privileged, has launched efforts in partnership with the LifeLine Care Association (LCA) to provide essential mental health support and services across communities.
In a statement signed by SJF Communications Directorate, it said the collaboration is premised upon SJF’s health advocacy targets for 2024 hence, its support to LCA in expanding capacities to deliver mental health services, raise awareness about the importance of mental wellness, and combat the stigma often associated with mental health illnesses or disorders.
This also underscores SJF’s unwavering commitment to holistic interventions in addressing neglected diseases or critical health challenges plaguing society.
In a statement regarding the partnership with LCA, Mr. Stanley Jegede, SJF’s executive chairman, said “The Stanley Jegede Foundation understands that mental health is a vital component of overall well-being.
According to him, the collaboration with the LifeLine Care Association aligns with the foundation’s belief that everyone deserves access to coordinated, affordable and impactful mental health services, support and helpful resources.
Working together with organizations like LCA, we will continue to foster an environment where individuals can thrive, free from the burden of misunderstanding the victims or over-diagnosed mental health conditions.
He added that the partnership is focused on creating long-term tangible impact by facilitating access to community outreach programs, free diagnoses, counselling services, and mental health resources, ensuring that individuals, particularly in vulnerable communities, receive the support they need.
Consequently, reaffirming SJF’s dedication to empowering communities through targeted interventions and life changing initiatives.
