MASAKA FIRE DISASTER: WOMEN MINISTER SHARES GRIEF WITH VICTIMS

The Minister, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, on Saturday poured her grief while at the same expressing heartfelt sympathy to the victims of the fire outbreak at Masaka Market in Nasarawa State, a state that shares boundary with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), housing a greater percentage of Federal Civil servants/public workers.

This tragic incident, observers who spoke on anonymity to our reporter say is coming few weeks after the Abuja food stampede is seen as one disaster too many across the country especially it has caused significant losses.

The Minister in a signed statement said: “The Ministry shares in the grief of all those affected.

“Our thoughts are with the traders and families who have been impacted by this disaster.

“The Ministry sympathizes with the people of Karu during this difficult time.”
