AFRICAN FIRST LADIES FOR DEVT: MINISTER CONGRATULATES TINUBU ON ELECTION AS STEERING C’TTEE MEMBER

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, over the weekend congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her election as a member of the Steering Committee of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).

Her election, the Minister said validates  her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to uplifting women, children and vulnerable groups across Africa.

She said: “Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she has championed economic empowerment, education, and healthcare, aligning with OAFLAD’s mission to drive sustainable social development.

“The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs fully supports her vision and remains committed to advancing initiatives that promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, and family cohesion.”

Her leadership in OAFLAD will undoubtedly strengthen impactful policies and partnerships that transform lives across the continent, Sulaiman-Ibrahim, said.
