FORMER MINISTER PRESENTS SURCON REPORT TO SGOF

Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF), Mr. Abudulganiyu Adebomehin, has received the report of the Ad–Hoc Committee for 2024 Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) Registration and Professional Examinations, from the Chairman of the Committee and also the former Minister of Environment, Surveyor Suleiman Hassan Zarma

The Head, Information and Public Relations, Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation, Mr. Henry David, in a statement, said the report was presented to SGOF in his office today in the company of some committee members which include; the Registrar of SURCON, Sur. Olugbemiro Olakunle and Surveyor Umar Nasir.

In his remarks while receiving the committee report, Surveyor General of the Federation said “Yeah, after the submission, all I need to do is to put a covering note on it, send it to the Minister that the assignment has been successfully completed, and he should give us approval to publish it in the daily news, that is when we complete the process.” 

Adding that “And having done that, when they finish the assignment, I am only a trustee of that authority on behalf of the minister, until when there is a full council in place.”

Earlier, Chairman of the Committee and Ex Minister while presenting the report said: “This is a presentation of the Committee for Registration and Examination of Surveyors for the year 2024.

“It’s a committee which was constituted by the Surveyor General of the Federation and the mandates he received from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the absence of Council. We have conducted both registration and examination successfully and we are here to submit the report.”
