The Director, Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga, in a statement, made available to the media, said the Minister highlighted that the government alone cannot fund the country’s energy needs.

“Our reforms are designed to unlock private investment, improve market dynamics, and accelerate the transition to cost-reflective tariffs.” he stated.

He added that Nigeria is a key beneficiary of Mission 300, a World Bank and African Development Bank initiative aimed at providing electricity to 300 million Africans.

According to him, the country is leveraging this initiative to expand renewable energy infrastructure and improve access to underserved communities.

In a remark, Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, also attended the forum, reinforcing the country’s commitment to energy sector reforms.

The SEforALL Forum brought together policymakers, development partners, and energy experts to drive solutions for a just and inclusive energy transition.

As Nigeria stands at the threshold of an energy revolution, HM Edun’s call to action signals a new era of unprecedented growth, innovation, and prosperity for the nation, setting the stage for Nigeria to emerge as a beacon of hope for energy sustainability in Africa.
