GMO: MINISTER IN OPEN DECLARATION…SAYS, I’M A STRONG SUPPORTER OF AGRIC BIOTECH

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, has poudly declared himself as strong supporter of agricultural biotechnology.

For the deployment of biotechnology innovation to properly plays and take it’s place in Nigeria’s food security landscape, he called for urgent need to amplify sensitization efforts and drive.

He proudly declared himself a strong supporter of agricultural biotechnology, stressing the urgent need to amplify sensitization efforts he clear the air on common misconceptions surrounding the science.

He also made a bold move clearing the air on common misconceptions surrounding the science which in recent years is being fueled by anti-GMO campaigner for pecuniary motives. 

The Minister made the declaration alongside other stakeholders, when he paid a special visit to the Open Forum for Agriculture Biotechnology (OFAB) Nigeria stand at the ongoing National Cassava Conference. 

After the inspection, OFAB in a statement, said: “We are indeed thrilled by what he had to say about what the Forum is doing. 

“We’re grateful for the support and even more energized to keep pushing the biotech conversation forward.” OFAB, said.
