The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended arm of partnership to the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment (FMITI) team led by Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

Sanwo-Olu reaffirm the state government’s commitment to collaborating with the Ministry to boost investment, support local businesses, and create new economic opportunities for the people of Lagos and Nigerians resident in Lagos State.
At the meeting, the Governor commended FMITI for its efforts in driving economic growth, citing recent GDP and economic indicators that demonstrate the rapidly changing trade and investment landscape.
The state government acknowledged the contributions of President Bola Tinubu and FMITI to the nation’s economic progress.

“We are ready to collaborate more closely with FMITI to boost investment, support local businesses, and open up new economic opportunities for our people. “
“As a centre of excellence, we recognize the importance of partnership and cooperation in driving economic growth and development.” He said.
The Minister in a remark expressed appreciation for the state’s exceptional support and hospitality in hosting the National Council Meeting on Industry, Trade, and Investment.
The meeting’s theme: Accelerating Diversification by Leveraging Industry, Trade and Investment for shared prosperity underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in driving economic growth.
The Director Press and Public Relations, Dr. Adebayo Thomas, in a statement, said the Minister paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Governor, strengthening ties between the federal and state governments.
The Minister, according to Thomas, commended the Lagos State for hosting the National Council Meeting on Industry, Trade, and Investment.
The meeting provided a crucial platform for commissioners from 36 states to collaborate and drive progress in the sector.
The Minister said: “We appreciate the Lagos State Government’s exceptional support and hospitality in hosting this important meeting.”
She commended Dr. Abiodun Adedipe, on the invaluable theme, adding that she looks forward to actionable outcomes.
The National Council Meeting provides a platform for stakeholders to collaborate and drive progress, accelerate diversification through industry, trade, and investment for shared prosperity.
This partnership between Lagos State and FMITI is expected to yield significant benefits for the state’s economy, including increased investment, job creation, and improved livelihoods for residents, the statement adde.
