The FCT Police Command has taken a significant step in strengthening its arms management and security infrastructure with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art containerized armory donated by Mines Advisory Group (MAG) International.

FCT Police Command, Abuja, in a statement said the handover ceremony held today, (Tuesday) at the Command Headquarters, was attended by senior security stakeholders and development partners.
The modern facility, according to Adeh was constructed in line with international best practices, is designed to enhance safe and secure storage of arms and ammunition.

“It provides improved safeguards against unauthorized access, accidental discharge, and arms mishandling contributing meaningfully to public safety and national security.” The statement added.
Representing the Inspector-General of Police (IG) at the event, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Armament, AIG Isyaku Mohammed, commended MAG International for its support to the Nigeria Police Force.
He noted that the armory will significantly boost the Command’s capacity to manage arms professionally, transparently, and in accordance with global standards.
AIG Mohammed, further emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and MAG International in the shared pursuit of peace, safety, and national development.
The Commissioner of Police FCT Police Command expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and MAG International for this strategic intervention and reiterates the Commands commitment to upholding the highest standards in arms accountability and operational efficiency.
