In what can be safely described as strategic and in deep dive appreciation which is in recognition of their efforts and unique initiatives to the growth of their Alma-mater: Ambrose Alli University Alumni (AAU), Abuja Chapter, its Chairman, Amb. Peter Orobo, led members on a courtesy visit to Dr. Mimi Abu and Mr. Festus Eguaoje, both of them distinguished Alumni at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation in Abuja.

Recall that Abu and Eguaoje – both Directors at the Office were jointly recognized and honoured with Achievers Award by the Alumni for their outstanding support and positive impact on the Association’s well-being in 2025. Their contributions to the ongoing reform being championed by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, cannot go unnoticed.
While soliciting for further support from members, the Chairman who expressed confidence in the duo, noted that the contributions of the Chapter to the welfare of its members in Abuja and the institution in general cannot be underestimated.

Rolling out creative initiatives to better the lots of members and to reposition the association as leader in the Alumni space, Orobor, underscores that effective attendance at meetings, prompt payment of annual dues is key and will go a long in meeting the needs and aspirations of members.

Meanwhile, in another encouraging development, the Abuja chapter of the Alumni has expressed appreciation to the Federal Government on the well-deserved appointment of one of its members – Engr. Victor Sebor Edoror as board member of the Federal Character Commissioner (FCC).
Edoror, including others who were newly appointed as board members into were not long inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu, who charged them to unleash the renewed Hope Mantra into Nigeria’s cultural psyche for a more united federation.
