The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), has opened its portal for young African entrepreneurs and start-ups desiring angel funding support for their creative and innovative projects across sectors and regions.

A total of $5000 is at stake for each entrepreneur who scales through transparent selective processes and thorough scrutiny.

The Foundation, in a statement made available to EXTRAORDINAIREPEOPLE.COM, hinted that prospective applicants should visit and apply through the digital networking site for African entrepreneurs at: www.tefconnect.com.

As it is wont to, the information says this year’s places priorities hinged on the economic recovery of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs and start-ups following the devastation occasioned by COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to the TEF, the scholarships are envisaged to lift millions of Africans out of poverty and also to create jobs across the continent, adding the programme will empower over 1000 1000 young Africans selected from the 2020 cohort.
Additionally, TEF said 2,400 young men and women across the continent will in 2012 also benefit from the funding which is being implemented through collaboration with other global partners.

The statement added: “As part of the rewards for participation, successful applicants will receive a world class business training, non-refundable seed capital of up to $5,000 and global networking opportunities.
