PDP Faces Setback as Gov Wike, Secondus Square Up for Fight

…Abonyi: Prince Secondus not a liar

By Zaveshe Ofeii

With the fight for supremacy unfolding in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), no thanks to the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike and the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, the party no doubt faces further fragmentation even as 2023 slowly and gradually drawing close by the day.

Confirming that all is not well with the party, the media office of the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, has confirmed in a statement made available to EXTRAORDINAIREPEOPLE News that it has been inundated with calls and inquiries on the outburst of the Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike against the person and image of the National Chairman.

Mr. Ike Abonyi, who signed the statement on behalf of Prince Secondus, said: “Our response is that no amount of provocation will make the National Chairman join issues with any leader of the party talk less a state Governor. To do that is to remove the toga of a leader of the party.

“The impact of such response from National Chairman on the party will be worse than silence.

“The National Chairman considers whatever negative outburst against him from any quarter as one of the punches a leader must receive and endure to get stronger especially when truth is unhidden that Secondus is not a liar.”
