Police: Minister Charges Staff on Innovation, New Ideas for Safer, Secured Nigeria

The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has charged everyone in the Ministry to embrace innovations and propose new ideas that would enable them to adapt to the ever-changing landscape.

This according to him, will ensure a safer and secure environment in the country.

He gave the charge during the assumption of duty of the Minister of Police Affairs and Minister of State in a meeting with the top management team at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja.

The Minister emphasizes the importance of unity, collaboration, and cooperation to stem various challenges facing the nation in the areas of maintaining law and order, safer guarding the rights of citizens and upholding justice

In his words, “We must work hand in hand and draw upon our collective expertise and experience each one of us to bring on board to the ministry and through our collective efforts we can effect positive change in the police ecosystem”

He said through collective effort we could make Nigeria Police Force to be efficient, professional, and accountable to society and thereby solicit unwavering cooperation and support in implementing the policies and programmes for the police ecosystem.

According to him, “That will drive the Ministry forward, the task at hand is daunting however with determination and dedication and shared vision we can overcome the obstacles that we face” Gaidam stressed

In her remarks, the Minister of State, Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, pointed out that both Ministers will work as a team to improve the welfare of the staff and committed to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure the successful implementation of improved economy and security in the country.

Earlier, while receiving the Ministers, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan thanked the President for giving an astute, experienced, reputable, and esteemed manager of finance, materials, and human resources to the Ministry to drive the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.

He pledged the cooperation and support of the entire staff adding that they are ever ready to cooperate to achieve the mandate and successful tenure of the Ministers that will facilitate enduring peace and security in the nation.
