G77+ SUMMIT: Nigeria/Cuba to Commence MoU Implementation Soon-Nnaji

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has said that Nigeria will ensure that the implementation of the bilateral agreement with Cuba will commence in earnest.

Nnaji stated this during the G77+ China Leadership Summit hosted by the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel in Havana recently.                               

The Deputy Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr. Atuora Obed, in a statement said the Minister, during the summit, met with the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of the Republic of Cuba on the need for the two countries to consolidate their bilateral relationship.

In the same vein, the two Ministers signed MoU on behalf of Nigerian and Cuban Governments, respectively.

To this end, Chief Uche Nnaji, commended President Bola Tinubu for his good leadership that has led to the signing of the MoU with Cuba.

The Minister was in national delegation led by the Vice president, Kashim Shetima to the summit, hosted by the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Vice president of the Republic of Cuba during the summit.
