TINUBU APPOINTS NEW LEADERSHIP ACROSS COMMUNICATIONS, INNOVATION/DIGITAL ECONOMY MINISTRY

President Bola Tinubu, yesterday approved the appointment of five (4) new and one returning Chief Executives to fresh terms in office across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.

 The new appointments include, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Mr. Aminu Maida, the Managing Director / CEO, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Ms. Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, the Director Genera/CEO, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Kashifu Inuwa, was reappointment for a second term in office.

While, the National Commissioner/CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Dr. Vincent Olatunji, whose tenure of first tenure is yet to elapse will continue in his capacity as the helmsman of the establishment.

 NIPOST, also got a new Postmaster General/CEO, Tola Odeyemi.

 The Special Adviser to the President, Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement, said the appointments are in line with Tinubu’s determination to maximally leverage on Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy toward greater financial inclusion.

Likewise, the President approved the appointment of a new Special Adviser to the President on Technology and Digital Economy, Mr. Idris Alubankudi

By this directive of the President, the above-mentioned appointments take immediate effect, the Special Adviser on Media, stated.
