The Acting Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Barr. Olusegun Omotola, has called on members of the Out-going National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who served in the Bureau to be good ambassadors even as he urged them to regard their service year as sacrifice and contributions toward Nigeria’s national development.
He gave the charge while hosting them to a brief send-forth gathering at the Headquarters of the Bureau over the weekend in Abuja.
The acting DG, who acknowledged and appreciated their services said they should regarded their service year as sacrifice towards national development, for which they would be rewarded soon.
According to him, their contributions towards the growth of the Bureau would lead to open doors to good things in their lives and as stepping stones to their greatness.
The Head, Public Relations and Protocol of BPP, Mrs. Janet McDickson, in a statement made available to the media, quoted the acting DG as counseling them to be of good courage and continue to individually work towards protecting the integrity of their families and the nation, pointing out that, President Bola Tinubu’s administration is working towards engaging the youths productively, to enable them have better living conditions in all ramifications.
While wishing them well in their future endeavors, he encouraged them to continue to keep in touch with him and other staff of the Bureau, particularly, staff of the departments where they had variously served, as he also pledged to continue to support them in their areas of need as much as God would enable him.
The outgoing youth Corp members expressed their appreciation for his fatherly gesture and promised to be BPP’s ambassadors.
