By Hillary Asemota

The Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Godswill Obioma, has been assassinated by some unidentified armed men in Abia State, soon after returning from a trip to Abuja.

In what some termed: cleansing of political opponents, the attack came following the cold murder of APC Chieftain Ahmed Gulak, who was on his way from Imo State.

Newsmen gathered that the armed men invaded the residence of Obioma in Abia State and strangled him to death.
