Dr. Imiyoho, First Female Nigerian Ascends NOTAP Leadership as Ibrahim Bows Out

An inevitable change of baton at the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) occurred over the weekend as the baton of leadership in the Federal Government Agency fell on Dr. Mrs. Idoreyin Imiyoho, the most Senior Director in the establishment.

The brief and exciting ceremony culminated in Dr. DanAzumi Ibrahim, handing over the baton of leadership to the erstwhile Director, Technology Innovation and commercialization.

Dr. Mrs. Imiyoho, who will though be driving the organization in Acting Capacity as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer (DG/CEO) until confirmation in substantive capacity.  

In a brief ceremony at the office headquarters in Abuja witnessed by the management team of the office, the outgoing DG handed over to the Director, Technology Innovation and commercialization, Dr. Mrs Imiyoho.

Remembrance

Before bowing out, Dr. Ibrahim had expressed sentiment that the appointment of NOTAP staff to lead the organization will give the much-needed impetus to further drive the establishment to fulfilling its mandate since the person is already conversant with the trajectory and dynamism of NOTAP.

The outgoing DG, expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the agency for the support accorded him throughout his two-term tenure as DG/CEO and prayed that GOD will guide the new leadership towards greater success in running the affairs of the office.

In her remarks after receiving the handing over notes, the Ag. Director General of NOTAP commended the outgoing DG for the successes recorded by the Office during his tenure from 2015 till date.

She prayed GOD to guide and protect him in his future endeavors and appealed for support from management and staff of the office in her new position.

Ibrahim, assumed office as DG NOTAP on the 15th of October 2015 for his first term of four years which was renewed by the then President Muhammadu Buhari on the 15th of October, 2019.
