KALTUNGO: WHY ANTI-GRAFT AGENCY, FRSC NEED STRONG COLLABORATION

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have advanced reasons for their resolve to foster a stronger relationship towards the actualization of their mandates.

This was disclosed on Thursday, when the new Kaduna Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Tijani Ilyasu, paid a familiarization visit to the Acting Director, Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, ACE I Bawa Kaltungo.

Kaltungo, while appreciating the Kaduna FRSC Sector Commander on behalf of the EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede commended the Corps for maintaining a robust relationship with the EFCC over the years and for working as EFCC’s partners in progress in the discharge in the. 

“Improving on this relationship should be our top most priority if we must all continue to succeed.

“I commended the Federal Road Safety Corps for being resilient and dogged in the course of discharging its duties and also appreciate the support the Commission has enjoyed so far from the Corps,” he said. 

The Head, Medid and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale, in a statement, said Ilyasu, in his response, pledged FRSC’s support to the EFCC in the anti-corruption fight noting that it behooves on every responsible citizen, agency or organization to support the anti-corruption fight in the interest of the country.

“My predecessor has briefed me on the close-knitted relationship that has been existing between the FRSC and the EFCC. I am here to continue from where they stopped and improve on the relationship. Everyone needs to support the anti-corruption fight.” he said.
