POLICE MINISTER APPLAUDS ITS SPORTSMEN/WOMEN ON VICTORY @ PUBLIC SERVICE GAMES

The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has applauded the Ministry’s sports men/women for their achievement at the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) September 2023 edition of keep-fit aerobics exercise to mark Nigeria’s 63rd independence.

The second-best trophy and certificate for Best Behaved MDAs for the September 2023 edition of the keep-fit aerobics exercise were presented to the Minister on behalf of the Ministry Sports Association by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, at the Ministry Headquarters in Abuja.

The Minister reiterated the commitment of the Ministry to sustain a healthy workforce that is key to achieving accountability, efficiency, and professionalism as well as strengthening the training capacity of the police institutions that would enable them to discharge their duty in a swift and precise process to restore the confidence of Nigerians.

In his words, “As we embark on this journey to strengthen the overall policing architecture of Nigeria, let us all join hands together as we build a safer, more prosperous, and harmonious Nigeria that we can all be proud of.”

Gaidam said: “Our security architecture is evolving. It is about people and partnerships. It is about forging bonds between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

“It is about understanding that our strength lies in unity and healthy workers”.

He pointed out that management will continue to support sporting activities that would enable the staff to be fit and healthy and would enable them to share innovative ideas which will improve policy formulation and implementation in the Ministry.

The Minister charged the sportsmen/women to double their efforts to win more laurels for the Ministry noting that the management is solidly behind them to keep fit and healthy which will engender efficient productivity at work.
