WHY INNOVATION, SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY REMAINS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S BEDROCK – NNAJI

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has assured that Innovation, Science and Technology remains President Bola Tinubu’s bedrock even as this administration is bent on leaving behind legacies that will stand the test of time.

Chief Nnaji, acknowledged that, that is why President Tinubu made Innovation, Science and Technology the bedrock and mantra of his Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA).

The Ministry’s Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Obed Atuora, in a statement quoted the Minister as saying that the country’s economic growth depends largely on the deployment of Innovation Science and Technology sector.

The Minister according to Atuora made the assertion when the National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, paid him a courtesy visit at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja.

Nnaji, while explaining that the Ministry has produced numerous research products and is deeply focused in commercializing them in order to enhance economic advancement of the country.

To this, end he enjoined Nigerians to support the SERVICOM which is a potent instrument for service delivery and national development.

Speaking at the meeting, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Esuabana Nko-Asanye, said SERVICOM was established 20 years ago for quality and effective service delivery as well as capacity building of staff in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

She then, commended the Management of SEVICOM for its numerous achievements and encouraged it to continue with the good work.

Earlier, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna  Akajemeli said that her visit was to seek collaboration  with the Ministry in the area of connecting with the Directors-General of the 17 agencies on service delivery to Nigerians.

Akajemeli, further said that SERVICOM is encouraging the people through service delivery to trust and support government policies and programmes.

She then, commended the Ministry for quality service delivery and encouraged her not to relent in people’s oriented work.
