BPP DG Advocates for Entrenchment of Integrity, Global Standard in Procurement Process

The Director General (DG) Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Mamma Ahmadu, has urged the participants of 2023 continuous procurement capacity development training programme (CPCDTP) to ensure integrity and transparency in their procurement dealings at all times. 

In statement made available to the media, by the Deputy Director, Information/Head of Media in the Bureau, Mrs. Janet McDickson, who quoted the the BPP boss, said he was represented by the Director, Legal, in the Bureau, Mr. Olusegun Omotola at the capacity development programme.

The statement was however made before the commencement of their mandatory examination after the 3 weeks strategic capacity training. 

Amadu, commended the zeal exhibited during the three weeks capacity training and urged them not to hold back their knowledge but rather, impact positively in their different organisations to enable them get better results in procurement process and improve the economy.

He also urged them to use and comply with the exam guidelines document given to them. 

Earlier, the Director, Research Training and Strategic Planning in the Bureau, Mr. Adebowale Adedokun, warned the participants against any improper behaviour or any action inimical to the exam guidelines, pointing out that, they should apply what was taught them during their training. 

Adedokun, acknowledged that the exam serves three purposes: To prepare them for their roles and responsibilities as procurement officers in achieving the strategic objective of their organisations. 

Secondly, to test the knowledge of their understanding of the procurement process and thirdly, to formerly absorb them into the procurement cadre.
